"Paper-Litho"

Paper-Lithography is a modern, non-toxic printmaking method that uses a viscous, natural gum as a 'substrate' between oil-based ink/water's physical repulsion.

"Composite Printwork"

I label work as "composite printmaking" when the final product is realized through a collage-like printing process. Using a number of "misprints" from previous projects, portions are selected, cut or torn from the original, arranged atop a new, dampened paper which has been sifted with wheat paste, and run through an etching press. Much like "chine-collé," the result appears to be a single sheet of paper in depth, rather than multi-textured or layered.
